About Scott Nietzel
A proven leader, innovator, and operational expert, Scott’s story is one of unwavering leadership, perpetual learning, and commitment. He brings a unique blend of strategic brilliance and operational acumen to enable businesses on their quest for success. His story transcends boundaries and resonates with diverse audiences.

Scott’s career as a Surface Warfare Officer in the United States Navy unfolded across the decks of warships and in the halls of fleet command centers. He was the commander of USS Scout, USS Warrior, and USS Chief. He also spent four years as a fleet-level operational planner, spearheading the development and execution of major international exercises, including two iterations of the world’s largest maritime exercise. Notably, the fleet commander chose Scott to lead groundbreaking engagements with crucial partner nations, a testament to his distinct expertise. He also served on the fleet headquarters’ on-call crisis response team, embodying readiness and adaptability in the face of challenges.
After a distinguished 20-year career in uniform, Scott continues to support the Navy’s mission as a Civilian Analyst, Subject Matter Expert, and most recently as a Senior Operational Consultant. Drawing on his broad experience and diverse skill set, he is helping to define theories of the future fight for the Navy and build the structures that support enhanced operational readiness in the fleet.

Scott continues taking on new challenges in the academic realm. Building on his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and master’s in National Security Affairs, he is a current doctoral candidate in the School of Defense and Strategic Studies at Missouri State University. Scott’s pursuit of excellence in academia is forging a bridge between theory and practical application.
